Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard surfaces
A revitalized the Russian player secured his maiden title for 882 days with a win over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has had a challenging year, managing just a single victory at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
The player's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in specific - led to him falling of the elite rankings and finally splitting with long-term coach Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has gradually advanced in the past month - peaking in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over opponent Moutet.
This represents the player's maiden trophy since the Rome competition and initial on a hard surface after March of 2023.
Success also indicates the Russian has won twenty-one victories at 21 distinct tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a competition with my children simultaneously, so to win a championship is really nice," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, including in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching approach and recurring reactions on the tennis court had led commentators to wonder if his skill to play at the highest level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to come to the net and play aggressively, backed up by an better serve.
He recovered from a disadvantage in the first set against the challenging opponent, taking four of the concluding five games to take the lead.
The pair swapped break points in the middle set before Moutet, bidding for his initial ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to create a decider.
He saved 4 initial opportunities in a tight deciding set before the Russian won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned the title with a point at the net, with the Frenchman unable to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
